Voice of ghana community victoria
Who we are
We are a passionate group of Ghanaian community members advocating for the development of our community to benefit all—children, youth, adults, and elders. We welcome ideas and support from the wider community to foster our goals.
Our doors are open to Africans, Australians, and anyone who shares our dreams, interests, and identifies as a friend of the Ghanaian community in Victoria. Ghanaians in Victoria may be born in Ghana or overseas, including Australia.
Accra, our capital city, boasts over 29 million people today. Common languages spoken include Twi, Ga, and Ewe, with eleven government-sponsored local dialects. With over 70 ethnic groups, each with its own distinct dialect, we celebrate our differences while working towards a common goal of fostering our national identity and heritage.
